  • Fleas
  • Ticks
  • Bed Bugs
  • Termites
  • Silverfish
  • Crickets
  • Spiders
  • Ants

SPECIALIZED TREATMENTS

Most of the insects listed are controlled with a basic scheduled maintenance treatment. However, severe infestations of insects such as fleas, ticks, cockroaches, and bed bugs, require special treatment and time.

And of course, there are termites. Visit the termite inspection / treatment page if you suspect termites or just want the peace of mind of knowing you don't have them.

SCHEDULED PEST CONTROL SERVICES

Scheduled Pest Control Visit

**Scheduled does not mean a contract is required. We don't require any contracts.** Scheduled insect maintenance service gives you lasting security and safety against most common insects such as spiders, earwigs, crickets, siverfish, scorpions, centipedes, and pillbugs.

There are many other bugs that our child, pet, people, and environment safe insecticides target. These named are just a few of the most common in Southeast New Mexico.

For scheduled maintenance, we recommend an every other month approach to most of our clients. Our pest control applications are thorough and effective enough to give good lasting protection for at least this time frame in most situations.

This also proves to save our clients money as compared to monthly services. Of course, a lot of our clients feel more secure having treatments on a monthly basis regardless if they see any insects or not. We're happy to do a monthly schedule as well.

ONE TIME OR ONCE IN WHILE SERVICE

No contracts are required for a one time pest control visit.
No Pest Control Contracts Are Required

While none of our services require a contract, it makes it easy for you to use us for a once in a while treatment. Some folks will just give us a call to come out and spray when they see a bug or spider or two.

This service is also great lot for situations where folks are having a gathering, don't generally see any bugs, but just want to make sure. It's also useful in situations such as needing to tone down mosquito populations for a short time. These are just examples. There are a lot of different situations that can benefit from a one time visit.

INFESTATIONS

Treating infestations of insects such as cockroaches, fleas, ticks, bed bugs, and ants often require more specialized insecticides, a more radical approach, and more time. On evaluation, we'll let you know the extent of the service and treatments that may be required.

Evaluations and estimates are free so there's no reason not to give us a call and have us come out and see. 575-725-9331

While it may take a few to several applications to get some issues like cockroach infestations in control, once they are in control, a bi-monthly or even quarterly visit is often enough for most of our clients homes and businesses.

WHAT'S A STRUCTURAL INSECT BARRIER?

A structural insect barrier is just as the name implies. By creating a safe chemical barrier on the outside of your home, office, and other structures, we keep the insects from gaining access in the first place. We do this on every pest control visit whether its scheduled or one time.

While it may take a few monthly applications to control issues on the inside of your home or office, this outside barrier will usually keep most pest problems in control between services giving you and your family the security of knowing that the inside is safe against creepy crawly spiders and other insects.

Our prices are based on the size of your home, office, number of structures treated, amount of property treated, and specific insects we may be targeting. Some initial first time applications may be higher than following treatments. Again it depends on how serious the infestation, time between treatments, and amount of area treated.

We do a thorough treatment and exterior barrier on every treatment regardless if it's monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly.

We also provide same day and emergency services.

CHILD AND PET SAFE INSECTICIDES

These are the biggest concerns and questions we get about the safety of our chemicals and treatments. Yes. All of the insecticides we use for our residential and commercial treatments are child safe and pet safe once they're dry.

In our Southeast New Mexico climate, this is usually within the hour after application. Your cooperation is required to help keep kids and pets out of the areas we treat during application and then for a short period to ensure that the pesticides are dry. In most cases, there is no need to leave the premises completely.

There are no toxic fumes or vapors and most chemicals are odorless except to a few individuals who have very strong senses. Even then, this is just due to the base manufacture of the chemicals and there are no volatile effective elements floating in the air.

WHY CHOOSE HORION PEST CONTROL?

At Horizon, we like what we do. We like the challenge of beating infestations and other pest control issues. We especially like the challenge of the more difficult infestations like cockroaches, ticks, and bed bugs. Experience has made us good at it and so its somewhat of a personal challenge to beat these things.

** A little sidenote regarding the increase in bed bug infestations here in Carlsbad and Eddy County due to the recent oil boom. See the oilfield boom brings the bed bug boom for more specific details on how it's spreading. Regardless, we've been getting a lot of experience with bed bugs and we're getting good at controlling them.

Rather than feel that we provide "just" a pest control service, we believe we provide security and peace of mind. I think it's a good way to look at it. The importance of it is greater than just being pest control guys and spraying houses.

We like to educate you and inform you on what we're doing. Besides being informed of the types of insecticides we use, how they work, and what to expect, we find that there are client side proactive measures like doing your part for cockroach control, that can be taken that will help ensure a successful elimination of insects and prevent a re-infestation of your home or office.

We incorporate the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) approach with our own experience of the insects locally to Carlsbad and Eddy County New Mexico. Some points we'll cover are -

  • Sanitation and elimination of pest food sources
  • Exclusion measures to help keep insects from gaining access and entry
  • Pest identification - know the enemy and what insects to expect in the Carlsbad area
